This women’s qigong (chi kung) class focuses on gentle exercises and the guiding of Qi (energy) specifically to help balance and regulate the hormones, release stress and stuck emotions, and optimize the lymphatic system. In this class, we will be focusing on movements that open up the ribcage to help relieve congestion in and around the breasts, lungs, and heart as well as utilizing movements that stretch and strengthen the muscles of the hips and pelvis. These exercises can be supportive in both prevention and treatment of many common female conditions. Additionally, you will learn cupping/tapping, Qi-massage, acupressure and Tibetan sound healing practices that focus specifically on women’s wellness and that embody a philosophy of self-expression, self-love and compassion.
